Day 1
Departure from Marrakech to M’Hamid, at the gateway to the desert. Breaks and stops upon request.
In the evening, overnight stay at the M’Hamid desert camp.
Day 2
Departure on foot accompanied by the camel caravan.
Once loaded, we leave the bivouac after breakfast on foot with the nomadic team and the camels to reach Erg_Sidi-Naji.
A mausoleum with a face in the earth and rest areas in the still, a place of pilgrimage for some nomadic families.
Overnight stay in the desert dunes.
Day 3
Wake up with the sun to begin this day that will lead to the majestic Howling Dunes (also called Erg-Zahar).
We leave the dunes of Erg Sidi-Naji to begin crossing a large arid plateau (mirages are common).
Little visited, Erg-Zahar represents the desert of the imagination,
Day 4
Continue the trek to reach Ait-Ounir to the well of the Oued Drâa.
This opportunity can be taken advantage of by a herd of camels who come to see you, or meet a nomad.
Spend the night under the desert dunes near to M’Hamid.
Day 5
End of the trek and return to Marrakech
Depending on the progress of the camel caravan over the previous days, we reach the permanent bivouac mid-morning after a few hours of walking. We return to the vehicle to return to Marrakech in the late afternoon.
